LiteWork is a neutral marketplace platform

LiteWork connects Workers, Glazing Companies, and Installation Subs in the architectural glass and glazing industry across the New York City metropolitan area. We are not an employer, joint employer, co-employer, employer of record, staffing agency, labor broker, recruiter, general contractor, subcontractor, construction manager, payroll provider, paymaster, escrow agent, or insurer for any user. We do not assign work, supervise work, set wages, control schedules, direct means and methods, or hold funds on behalf of users. We do not classify any individual or firm as a W-2 employee or a 1099 independent contractor. We do not draft, negotiate, review, countersign, administer, or enforce contracts, scopes of work, change orders, purchase orders, insurance certificates, releases, or any other agreements between users; those agreements are formed, performed, and enforced solely between the users involved.

We do not classify workers or decide who is an employee

LiteWork does not determine whether any individual or firm is an employee or an independent contractor. In New York, classification in the construction industry is heavily regulated — including under the New York Construction Industry Fair Play Act — and the consequences of getting it wrong fall on the hiring entity. Hiring entities are solely responsible for classification, wage-and-hour and prevailing-wage compliance, payroll and tax handling, workers' compensation and unemployment insurance, OSHA and worksite safety, licensing, immigration and work-authorization checks, and any contract between the parties.

No verification of credentials, licensing, insurance, or background

LiteWork does not independently verify any user's licensing, certifications, insurance coverage or limits, immigration or work-authorization status, work history, criminal background, or financial standing unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. You are responsible for verifying these things yourself before entering into any arrangement, including reviewing any certificate of insurance ("COI") and confirming current coverage with the issuing carrier.

No guarantee of work, awards, payment, or quality

LiteWork does not guarantee that any post will be filled, that any application or response will be reviewed or accepted, that any worker will be hired or paid, that any subcontract will be awarded or performed, or that any counterparty is qualified, reliable, solvent, or insured. Listings and profiles are user-submitted and are not independently verified by LiteWork.

Subscriptions are for Platform access only

Subscription fees paid to LiteWork are for access to Platform features (such as visibility, posting, applying, responding, and messaging). They are not payment for labor, recruiting placement, payroll, tax withholding, insurance, project completion, or any service performed by another user.

Your responsibility for diligence and compliance

You are responsible for your own due diligence, contracting, insurance, tax handling, classification decisions, payroll, safety compliance, prevailing-wage and apprenticeship rules where applicable, anti-discrimination compliance, and any other federal, state, or local legal obligations that apply to your work or business. You are also responsible for the truthfulness of your own profile, posts, applications, responses, and documents.

Governing law

This Disclaimer is part of the Terms of Service. The governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution provisions in the Terms of Service apply to this Disclaimer.

Reporting fraud, abuse, or misuse

If you encounter suspected fraud, unlawful content, harassment, or misuse of documents or personal information on LiteWork, use the in-platform reporting tools on the relevant listing, profile, or message, or contact support@litework.site. We do not routinely share the contents of your report with the person or company you reported, except where disclosure is reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or investigation.
